With our location both near the center of city and right by the ocean, Brøndums Hotel must be said to be Skagen's city-seaside hotel. This is the place to stay if you want to experience both the calm and serenity of the eastern part of Skagen and still be very near both the cultural sights and the lively harbor. Museum of Skagen is our neighbor, and staying at Brøndums Hotel you will be within walking distance of both the beach and the city center.
Brøndums Hotel was founded as a guesthouse around 1840. The oldest part of the main building dates back to 1874. In 1892 an extension, designed by architect Ulrik Plesner, was built. The hotel became so popular that additional extensions were built in both 1897 and 1909. In 1915 Brøndums Hotel was so well visited that it was decided to build the annex "Admiralgaarden", which is build after the same drawings as the royal residens in Skagen, "Klitgaarden".
Current owner of Brøndums Hotel, Bendt Fredberg, has included additional three guesthouses to the hotel. These houses accommodate more private surroundings for our guests.
At Brøndums Hotel we cherish the history, charm and original spirit from the time of the Skagen Painters. As we are a very traditional seaside hotel many of our rooms do not hold a private bath and toilet, which you will find in the corridors. Every room is however equipped with large wash basins. To keep focus on calmness and serenity there are no TV or radio in the rooms.
Free Wi-Fi is installed in all of our buildings, and you will find free parking by the hotel, the annex and our guesthouses.
Every morning we serve a beautiful breakfast in the main building. If yoy wish to lunch or dine in our renowned restaurant, we highly recommend that reserve a table well in advance.
