Rooms at Brøndums Hotel
Degn Brøndum thought that running water and hot baths were unnecessary, since the hotel was only 200 metres away from the beach. When swimming in the ocean was good enough for him, then why should it not be for others as well? In the main building, where the oldest parts date back to 1874, you may therefore find showers and toilets outside the rooms while bathrobes and washbasins are in the rooms.
All rooms within the main building were thoroughly refurbished in 2008. Trolles Hus, Finnens House and Anchersvej 8, all of which are small Skagens Houses, are all en suite.
In the Admirals Yard from 1915, built according to the same design as King Christian X and Queen Alexandrines “Klitgården”, you will find 11 rooms with bath while the remaining 13 have washbasins. Televisions may only be found in the Blå Stue (Blue Lounge) and Anchersvej 8.
The hotel is generally characterized by Degn Brøndums ascetic lifestyle, where only food and drinks as well as culture were thought to be important.
 The Main Building
All rooms were thoroughly refurbished in 2008 but otherwise spartanly furnished in the spirit of Degn Brøndum. The wallpaper in stripes and the Georgian bar windows provide a cosy atmosphere where you will not be disturbed by radio, television or telephones. All rooms are equipped with washbasins and bathrobes while bath- and toilet facilities may be found outside the rooms. The nearest beach is only about 100 metres away. There is a total smoking ban throughout the main building and also in the rooms, Dogs are not allowed. The price before the slash is the regular price and the price is valid from 1/1-2011 to 30/3-2011.
Admiralgården
The building was constructed in 1915 according to the same design as the architect Plesner used for King Christian Xs summer residence “Klitgården”.
The building was originally located with direct access to the beach but after the recent expansion of the port, the beach is today about 200 metres away. The building is named after John Brøndum who was a captain in the merchant navy. After he had gone ashore he would often gaze at the naval traffic around Grenen with his binoculars from the buildings vantage point and as he at the same time was keen to speak about his life at sea, people named him “the admiral”.
In this building there are 24 rooms and 11 of them have own bath and toilet. Breakfast is served in the main building 200 metres away where all necessary service is also provided.
Double rooms with bath regular price from 1225,- DKK
All other rooms have wash basins while bath and toilet facilities are located in the corridor.
Finnens Hus
Small apartment on the first floor accessed via a narrow staircase. Bath and toilet located on the ground floor.
Electric heating supported by a stove.
Price per night 1225,- DKK.
Breakfast is served in the main building 200 metres away.
Anchersvej 8
Large house with a private garden. Contains two double rooms on the first floor. Bath and toilet is located on the ground floor along with three large living rooms, one of them equipped with a TV.
